ick Me Hard

(Winter 1988)
Words and Music by Howard Scott and Mike Hering

We were just a bunch of friends who loved rock and roll,
Rhythm and blues and a little bit of soul.
We got together and we started to play.
We never knew that we would make it some day as

Kick Me Hard (x 2)

We got together for just one set.
We hadn’t practiced any, we weren’t ready yet,
But we punched up the amps and we started to play
And all we heard the very next day was

Kick Me Hard (x 4)

Second quarter and we lost five.
Nobody thought that we could ever survive.
But we worked real hard and practiced every day
And late one night we started to play as

Kick Me Hard (x 4) (Solos and intros)

Another ten weeks have now gone by
We never knew how time could fly
But we’re here now and we’re ready to play
And all of you know that we’re here to stay- We’re

Kick Me Hard (x 8 to fade)

Notes: I found Mike at the cast party of the LaGrange College theatre performance of "The Importance of Being Earnest" and forced him to listen to the initial verse and refrain. We are still Kick Me Hard!
