| Oak Bluffs
The town in which the campground is located, Oak Bluffs, is in the northeast corner of Martha's Vineyard. It has a population of around 3,500 during the off-season and about 33,000 during the vacation season. First of all, you need information when you get to Oak Bluffs. That's Mr. Al Hart's job. He works at the booth when he's not residing at the Campground just a few cottages away from "Over the Rainbow." Mr. Hart and his wife, Cora, have been a part of the campground for as long as Howard can remember. In particular, they lent Howard and his sister the use of their kitchen one August, allowing them to bake a birthday cake for Howard's mom. The Harts are the greatest! The cake was not. |
